- Firefighters responded to a residence in the 500 block of Franklin Street for a report of a smoke odor at 10:47 p.m. Sunday. The caller said it was possibly coming from the upstairs apartment. Firefighters checked the entire structure, including the other apartment, furnace and electrical service and found no source. The thermal imaging camera was used to check all the rooms, also. The occupant was told there was an odor of cigarette smoke and to empty all the ash trays and trash to eliminate the possible source of odor. The smoke detector was checked and was operable.
