LISBON - In Columbiana County Municipal Court on Tuesday, a Feb. 21 preliminary hearing was set for Chad E. Brewer, 30, East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence. Court documents allege Brewer on Jan. 1 punched Jasee Brown in the face, tried to suffocate her and struck her in the stomach while she was eight and a half months pregnant. Bond was set at $25,000 personal recognizance.
Samson Crowl, 28, Cherry Street, Salem, was fined $250 and sentenced to 19 days in jail for theft after he went into a Salem Dollar General and left with his pockets full of $61 in merchandise.
Leonard E. Carson, 52, Cleveland, was fined $150 for unsafe vehicle amended from speeding.
A Feb. 28 pretrial was set for Joseph R. Bates, 20, Cameron Street, Winona, charged with OVI first offense, left of center and open container.
A March 25 pretrial was set for Kirk L. Poole, 43, Oakdale Avenue, Wellsville, charged with OVI first offense, driving under suspension and failure to control.
