The Salem Lions Club and the Homeworth Lions Club joined forces to provide sight screenings for preschoolers at Reilly Elementary School in Salem. Thirty-six preschoolers where screened, 34 of the students passed the screening and two were recommended for referral to eye care follow-up. Eye screenings were done with a Pediavision camera that was purchased by Lions of Ohio District 13-D Eye Care Foundation at a cost of $10,500 to be used by the 50-plus clubs in the district. Shown performing the eye screenings on a student are Mel Lippiatt, president of the Salem club, and Lisa Henthorne, secretary of the Homeworth club. (Submitted photo)
