SALEM - Sherry Lyons, 69, of Salem, died Thursday afternoon, Jan. 17, 2013 at her home.
She was born April 20, 1943 in Massillon, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles and Shirley (Randolph) Lyons.
Before her retirement, she had worked 31 years at the Alliance Community Hospital in the autoclave surgery department. After retirement she hadworked in the bakery department at Wal-Mart in Alliance.
She was a graduate of United Local High School.
Survivors include a brother, James (Jean) Rhodes Jr. of Winona; 10 sisters, Sherry's twin Sharlene (Dave) Brown of Conneaut Lake, Pa., Mignon (Mickey) Brandt of Winona, Jacque (Dale) Iler of Salem, Eleanor (Bob) Alexander of Okeechobee, Fla., Helen Benner of Port Orange, Fla., Carna Czatt of Lorain, Mary (Don) Swegan of Sebring, Donna (Gail) Murphy of Damascus, Betty Bartels of Salem and Donna (Raymond) Crosser of Lisbon; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins by the dozens.
Preceding her in death was her father, Charles Lyons; foster parents, Jim and Clara Rhodes; sister, Glenda L. Emelo Berg; and nephews, David Dimko, Kyle Emelo, Bill Rinehart and Ronald Brown.
Private family services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at Highland Memorial Park with Father Robert Edwards officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park.
