SALEM - Colleen Kay Burson, 53, of Salem, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown following a sudden illness.
She was born Jan. 1, 1960, in Salem, the daughter of Kenny A. McNeal and the late Barbara (Conkle) McNeal Hoffman.
Colleen was a 1978 graduate of West Branch High School and earned an associate's degree in business from Macon Georgia College. She was a receptionist for Refresh Dental in Alliance. She had resided in Georgia from 1978 to 2003, where she had managed a dental office. Before moving to Salem, she had resided on her farm in Warne, N. C.
Survivors include her husband, Scott Burson; her father and stepmother, Kenny and Glenda McNeal of Salem; a sister, Sharon (Howard) Russell of Bedford, Va.; a half-sister, Kelli McNeal of Salem, a step-sister, Munyeca Molnar of Austintown; two aunts, Eileen Wallace of Salem and Peggy Smith of Salem; an uncle, Charles Conkle of Minerva; and a very close friend, Fran Calvin of Alliance.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home. There will be no services.
