LISBON - Preliminary hearings were set Thursday in Columbiana County Municipal Court for two people accused of having firearms at the Foxes Den in Salem on New Year's Eve.
A Jan. 8 preliminary hearing was set for Joshua R. Smith, 30, Tippecanoe, who is charged with illegal possession of a firearm in a liquor establishment after he allegedly pointed a loaded handgun at the abdominal area of Robert C. Reynolds in a threatening manner while inside the night club shortly after the new year began.
Additionally, a Jan. 8 pretrial was set for Smith for charges of aggravated menacing and obstruction of official business.
Two handguns were reportedly found in the purse of Kathryn L. Fisher, 32, Washington Avenue, Salem, who was driving the vehicle Smith was riding in when police stopped them in the parking lot.
A Jan. 8 preliminary hearing was set for Fisher, who is charged with illegal possession of a firearm in a liquor establishment. A pretrial was scheduled the same date on a weapons while intoxicated charge.
