Chicken drive-thru dinners offered today at Salem church

SALEM -"Chicken on the Run" drive-thru chicken dinners will be sold from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the First United Methodist Church, 244 S. Broadway Ave. The dinner includes a stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie. Cost is $7. Dinners will continue to be served until 6 p.m. or until sold out on the first Thursday of every month.

Radio Association to meet

SALEM - The Salem Area Amateur Radio Association will hold its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. today in the Quaker Room at the Salem Public Library. New members and guests are welcome. Salem Community Center to host swim lesson program

SALEM -The Salem Community Center will host another session of its swim lesson program beginning Jan. 12 and running every Saturday through March 2. Six learn to swim levels are available, along with a Mommy and Me level for infants and their parent. Cost is $70 for non-members and $55 for members. Monopoly game tournament

GED testing offered at Coffin Career Center in Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN - Official GED testing, sponsored by Choffin Career and Technical Adult Education Department University System of Ohio, is available. Classes will be held at 8:45 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Jan. 22 and 23 at Choffin Career and Technical Center. All participants must be pre-registered and bring a photo ID. Columbiana Soil and Water Conservation board to meet

SALEM - The regular monthly board meetings of the Columbiana Soil and Water Conservation District board of supervisors have been set. The board plans to meet at 7 p.m. the second Monday of the month in January, February, March and December; at 8 p.m. the second Monday of the month in April, May, June, July, August and September; at 8 p.m. on Oct. 15 due to Columbus Day; and 7 p.m. Nov. 12 due to Veterans Day.

Meetings will be held at 1834-B S. Lincoln Ave. Changes will be posted at www.columbiana.oh.nacdnet.org and in the office.
