New Year's Eve Salem at Masonic Temple

SALEM - The Masonic Temple at 788 E. State St. is among the venues to visit during New Year's Eve Salem. Dinner will be served beginning at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 31 followed by Bluegrass and country music entertainment provided by The Stockdale Family Band, The Allegheny Drifters, and Zack Paxton, rotating from 6 to 10:50 p.m.

Turkey dinners will be served complete with mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green beans, cake and a beverage for $7. Hot turkey sandwiches with gravy and a beverage will be sold for $4; and a sloppy joe sandwich with a pickle and chips for $3. Sides offered at $1 each will include mashed potatoes, green beans, cake, and beverages. Also available after 6 p.m. will be slices of East of Chicago Pizza for $1.50 each.

Salem 1951 meeting canceled

SALEM - The Salem High School Class of 1951 has canceled its meeting on Jan. 2. The next breakfast is scheduled at 9 a.m. Jan. 9 at the Skyline Diner.

Salem 1956 lunch set at Salem Hills

SALEM - The Salem High School Class of 1956 will meet for its bi-monthly luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 9 at the Salem Hills Golf and Country Club. Spouses and friends are welcome.

Entry classes offered by radio group

SALEM - The Salem Area Amateur Radio Association will hold entry level classes starting at 7 p.m. Jan. 14 at the home of Ginger Grilli, 1530 E. State St. Manuals may be purchased. To register call 330-549-3051.

Women's Night Out event set March 20

SALEM - Sponsorship, advertising and vendor tables are now available for those who participated in the 2012 Salem Community Center Women's Night Out. The fourth annual event will be held on March 20. New participants may register beginning Jan. 2. Vendor space may be limited by product. For information call 330-332-5885 or stop by the SCC front desk.
