NEGLEY - Robert E. Davidson, 76, of Taylor Road, died early Saturday morning at his home.
Mr. Davidson was born June 16, 1936, in East Liverpool, a son of the late Thomas and Ellen Theis Davidson, and had resided in the Negley area for most of his life. He had at one time been employed as a carpenter with the former McCowin Construction.
He is survived by his wife, the former Joyce Stoltz, whom he married June 7, 1969; six sons, Zed Eli Davidson of Glenmore, Ronald William Davidson of Beavercreek, Jerry Tobias Davidson and Barry Timothy Davidson, both of Cleveland Heights, Henry Edward Davidson of Negley and Allen Richard Davidson of East Palestine; and a daughter, Penelope Candace Davidson-Weldon of East Liverpool.
Mr. Davidson also leaves two brothers, Richard Davidson of California and Gordon Davidson of Columbiana; and three sisters, Elsie Legg of Olympia, Wash., Alverta Dearth of Delaware, Ohio, and Ruth A. Geer of Pennsylvania; and six grandchildren.
Two sons, John Paul Davidson and Curtis Allen Davidson, preceded him in death.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford, with Pastor Jim Bean officiating.
Arrangements were with the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, East Palestine.
