- Gary Wolford, Salem Grange Road, Salem, reported at 10 a.m. Friday he received a letter in the mail from an insurance company claiming he opened a credit account on Dec. 6 and charged $378. The statement showed the account was opened in his name and address. Wolford reported the account was opened fraudulently.

- Betty Mackall, Sell Road, Lisbon, reported at 9:50 a.m. Friday her 13-year-old son was assaulted by another student at United Local School. The other boy reportedly hit her son with his shoulder and when her son pushed him back, the boy then punched him in the head several times. Mackall's son was taken to an unnamed hospital, where he had a fractured nasal cavity and concussion. Both boys were suspended from school.

- Peggy King, state Route 7, New Waterford, reported at 7:50 a.m. Friday her 15-year-old grandson refused to go to school. The boy has already missed multiple days of school and deputies told him to go to school.

- Frank Medure, Lodge Road, Leetonia, reported at 9:27 a.m. Friday his ex-girlfriend's mother has been sending him harassing text messages. He has not been with his ex-girlfriend in more than two years and has married someone else. Deputies suggested he may want to change his phone number.

- Jeff Lupas, state Route 39, Wellsville, reported at 11:13 a.m. Thursday someone stole two chainsaws from his shed.
