BERLIN CENTER - Mary Litwin Barnes, 96, of Berlin Center, Ohio, died on Sunday, Dec.
9, 2012 at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio.
She was born Jan. 11, 1916 in North Jackson, Ohio, the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary
Mrs. Barnes was a charter member of the Real Life Assembly of God Church in Salem, where she served as Missions Secretary-Treasurer, past president and member of the Women's Ministries Council and as Sunday School teacher.
Her husband, Emery W. Barnes, whom she married Nov. 10, 1934, preceded her in death Sept. 24, 1989. Three sisters, Anna Skeebo, Katherine Zents and Helen Scott; and two brothers, Joseph and John Litwin also preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth (Bette) Barnes of Massillon; a daughter, M. June Barnes of Berlin Center; a sister, Josephine Scott of Union City, Calif.; a brother, William (Ellen) Litwin of Youngstown; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at noon on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 at the Real Life Assembly of God Church with Pastor Jason Vickery officiating. Calling hours are from 11 a.m. to noon on Thursday at the church prior to the services. Burial will be at Ellsworth Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be made to the Real Life Assembly of God Church Missions, 12824 Salem-Warren Road, Salem, OH 44460.
