NEW WATERFORD - Two village men were charged with breaking and entering, underage consumption and receiving stolen property after they allegedly broke into the New Waterford Fire Department on Nov. 28.

Police said Alex Cook and William Seth McMillen, both 19, of 3681 Silliman St., entered through the rear and kicked in the door to the fire chief's office, removing money and soda pop.

During the investigation, it was learned the two also had allegedly stolen a vehicle in Boardman and had been stripping it down in a garage on Silliman Street. They kept the parts in the garage, and disposed of the remains of the 2005 Ford Explorer at an unknown location.

They also stole a Holland tractor from the Dale Hill residence on Millrock Road and had it stored behind a residence on Silliman Street, police said.

Pop cans from the fire department reportedly were found on the tractor by police.

Both men were taken to the county jail.
