News Waterford men charged with Fire Department break-in, pop theft

NEW WATERFORD - Police arrested two village men and charged them with breaking and entering, underage consumption and receiving stolen property after they allegedly broke into the New Waterford Fire Department on Nov. 28.

Police said that Alex Cook and William Seth McMillen, both 19, of 3681 Silliman St., entered through the rear and kick in the door to the fire chief's office, removing money and soda pop. During the investigation, it was learned that the two had allegedly stolen a motor vehicle in Boardman and had been stripping it down in a garage on Silliman Street. They kept the parts in the garage, and disposed of the remains of the 2005 Ford Explorer at an unknown location. They also stole a Holland tractor from the Dale Hill residence on Millrock Road and had it stored behind a residence on Silliman Street. Pop cans from the fire department were were found on the tractor by police and both men were taken to the Columbiana County jail.
