SALEM - Helen Ulrich, 91, of Salem, died Sunday morning, December 2, 2012, at the Blossom Nursing and Rehab Center in Salem.
She was born March 26, 1921 in Salem, the daughter of the late Simon and Susanna (Kautz) Adam.
Helen had been a homemaker and a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Salem for 50 years. She was a charter member of the Women's Sewing Circle of the church, a member of the Salem Saxon Branch #18 Retirees, and a former Girl Scout and Brownies leader.
Her husband, John E. Ulrich, preceded her in death on July 17, 1999. Her sisters, Kate, Sophia, Sue, Ann, Mary, Pauline and Johanna and a brother, William, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Workman of Hilliard, Ohio and Lois (Jonney) Stanton of Salem; five grandchildren, Ronney (Tina) Stanton, Jasun (Barb) Stanton, Mark (Missy) Stanton, Brady Marshall Stanton and Robin (Ken) Hill; and seven great-grandchildren, Tabitha, Nicholas, Jack, Ian, Evan, Genevieve and Jonney. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Alan Smearsoll officiating.
