SEBRING - Robert Lawrence Findling, age 67, died November 21, 2012 at his home of pulmonary fibrosis.
He was born June 19, 1943 to William and Helen (Diver) Findling. He attended Alliance High School and enlisted in the Army in 1962 specializing in field communications and was assigned to Headquarters 7th Army and stationed in Munich, Bavaria.
He was honorably discharged in 1967 and was a member of AMVETS Post 45 in Salem.
He worked at Sekely Tool and Die.
Robert was married to Marilyn (Jo) Zeides on July 23, 1966 and she preceded him in death in 2007.
He is survived by his children Thomas Robert (Dawn) Findling of Maximo; James Lee (Vicki) Wiggs Jr. of Alliance; Jon Mitchell (Mary) Wiggs of Louisville, OH; Jeffrey Alan (Denise) Wiggs of Phoenix, AR; and daughters Karen Jo Garcia of Phoenix, AR; Janet Lynn (Ed) Baddeley of Sebring; and Jill Ann Eaton of Homeworth; 20 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by a sister, Sharon (James) Unger; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Findling; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and tow brothers, William and Lewis Findling.
Services will be held at 7 p.m. today with Pastor Mike Kimball officiating at Dean's Funeral Home.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. before the service.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.
