LISBON - In Columbiana County Municipal Court on Tuesday, a Nov. 29 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for Gabriel A. Jarvis, 19, U.S. Route 62, Beloit, charged with theft and misuse of credit cards after allegedly taking a wallet containing credit and debit cards belonging to his grandmother from her home, then using the cards to make purchases including at the Westville Sunoco.

Casey R. Carter, 20, Allison Street, East Liverpool, was fined $200, required 30 hours community service and sentenced to 60 days in jail for two counts receiving stolen property for two stolen Xbox systems and other items from two homes in Wellsville taken on Oct. 4 and 5, which Carter along with another person sold to the GameStop in Calcutta.

Thomas D. Summers, 33, Haiti Road, Salineville, was fined $100 and sentenced to one day in jail for domestic violence for spitting in the face of his live-in girlfriend and punching her in the face in front of her two small children.

Lucas J. Hall, 34, Alderlick Road, Wellsville, was fined $100 and sentenced to 40 days in jail for obstructing official business amended from a fourth-degree felony burglary after he broke into a home on McCormick Run Road in Madison Township and did not surrender to deputies outside for about 27 minutes.

Michael D. Morris, 45, Murray Road, East Rochester, was fined $537 for maximum axle load.

Ivan P. Ward Jr., 47, Y and O road, East Liverpool, was fined $276 for maximum axle load.

Joseph A. Benedetti, 26, Pine Lake Road, Beloit, was fined $50 for disorderly conduct after a confrontation involving several family members on June 23 at a Salem Grange Road home, where Benedetti fought with one male home owner and also hit another person..

A Dec. 3 sentencing was set for Roy A. Watson, 31, state Route 7, New Waterford, who pleaded no contest to domestic violence for pushing his pregnant wife around the house several times, telling her he would make her miscarry and sheriff's dispatchers overhearing him threaten if he was arrested "she would be done." At the request of the victim, Amy Watson, bond was modified to allow him non-violent contact with her.

A Jan. 14 pretrial was set for Maxine A. Ezell, 18, West Wilson Avenue, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly attempting to scare her younger brother with a knife during an argument Monday.
