SALEM - Olivia Sage Thompson, 9, of 927 Franklin Avenue, Salem, Ohio, died at 5:45 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Akron Children's Hospital in Akron.
She was born March 7, 2003 in Brewton, Alabama, the daughter of Billy and Elizabeth I. (Dickey) Thompson.
Olivia was a fourth grade student at Reilly Elementary School and a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Children's Church Choir. She loved fishing, being outdoors and swimming.
Her parents, Billy and Beth Thompson of Salem, survive her along with a brother, Skylar Thompson of Baring, Missouri; maternal grandparents, Bill and Fran Dickey of Port Clinton, Ohio, formerly of Salem; and paternal grandmother, Glenda Schulte of Brewton, Alabama; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
An aunt, Allison Fithian, preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Douglas George officiating. Calling hours will be held at the church on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. Interment will be at Bunker Hill Cemetery.
