SALEM- Albina Christine Scott, 65, of Salem, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born June 6, 1947, in Wadsworth, Ohio, a daughter of Curtis and Edith (Walker) Fortner.
She worked for Envelope 1 as a machine operator for nine years and loved sewing and flowers.
Survivors include her husband, Charles "Chuck" R. Scott, whom she married June 7, 2003; a son, Linn Curtis Whisman of Canal Fulton; daughters, Regina C. (Harvey) Whisman Neal of Akron and Loretta J. (John) Whisman Inks of Canal Fulton; stepdaughters, Angela M. Scott of Lisbon, Shirley D. Scott of Akron and Deborah L. (John) Tomsello of Tallmadge; a sister, Diane S. Conway of Mississippi; brothers, Jerry Curtis (Sue) Fortner of Medina, Millard (Sandra) Fortner of Wadsworth and Larry V. (Laura) Fortner of Florida; nine grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with Hospice Chaplin Elly Krokenberger officiating. Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday prior to the services at the funeral home.
