Salem News

- A state Route 9, Salem, woman reported at 2:14 p.m. Wednesday a suspicious vehicle at her daughter's home. Deputies checked the area, but did not locate anyone.

- A Black Road, Lisbon, woman reported at 12:14 a.m. Thursday she could hear something in the home. Deputies checked around the house and found no signs of forced entry.

- A state Route 14, East Palestine, woman reported a domestic dispute with her mother at the Vittle Village on state Route 14. She signed a refusal to prosecute and then stated she had nowhere to stay. Deputies gave her a ride to a home on Bacon Avenue, where she was found not to be welcome. She was eventually taken to the East Palestine police station where she was given a ride by EMS to get counseling at the Salem Community Hospital.

- A Whipporwill, Hanoverton, woman reported at she came home from work at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and found her bedroom door, which had been locked, was broken. Cash and change was taken from the bedroom. The rest of the house was locked and she did not know how they got inside.
