LISBON - In Columbiana County Municipal Court Thursday, Michael J. Stacy, 22, Myrtle Beach, S.C., was sentenced to 53 days in jail and fined $300 for two counts of receiving stolen property for two stolen X-boxes and other items reportedly sold to the GameStop in Calcutta by Stacy and another person.

Lora L. McLaughlin, 44, North Shady Lane, East Liverpool, was fined $975, sentenced to seven days in jail, required 30 hours community service and had her license suspend for 12 months for OVI second offense and driving under FRA suspension.

Thomas J. Mercer Jr., 20, Fairfield Avenue, Columbiana, was fined $300, sentenced to three days in jail, had his license suspended for six months and required 20 hours community service for speeding and reckless operation amended from OVI first offense.

Charles W. Zellers Jr., 25, Chester Avenue, Wellsville, was fined $150 for theft for assisting two others in taking slag from a pile at the intersection of County Airport Road and Y and O Road.

Angel D. Hartley, 29, Seventh Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150 and required 20 hours community service for passing bad checks for a $76 check written on a closed account to Morgan's Drug Store.

Laura L. Yash, 43, Hisey Road, New Waterford, was fined $150 for speeding in a school zone.

Tina E. Harper, 42, Wilmington, N.C., was fined $125 for lighted lights required amended from speeding.

A domestic violence charge against Misty A. Goodwin, 25, Summit Street, Alliance, was dismissed due to a lack of the assistant prosecuting attorney to locate the victim in the case, Michael McMahon, who was allegedly smashed over the head with a coffee pot and punched in the face by Goodwin on Aug. 26.

Amy C. Watkins, 44, West Fourth Street, Salem, pleaded no contest to theft for concealing a $26 curling iron inside her purse in Walmart in Salem last Friday. Sentencing is set for Nov. 27.

A Nov. 8 pretrial was set for Daniel L. Benton, 37, East Lincolnway, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence for allegedly pushing his wife onto the bed and punching her three or four times Thursday.

A Dec. 11 pretrial was set for Justin M. Martin, 29, Youngstown, cited with possession of marijuana.

A Jan. 8 pretrial was set for Derek J. Johnson, 25, Coal Alley, Leetonia, cited with driving under suspension and failure to display a valid sticker.
