NEW WATERFORD- Two New Waterford brothers are both facing three misdemeanor charges, including arson, following an alleged run-in at the Pleasant Valley trailer court Wednesday morning.

Tyler Conkle, 22, and Alex Conkle, 18, both of 2844 Macklin Road, have been charged with arson, assault and criminal damaging, all first-degree misdemeanors, after police responded to a home in the trailer court at approximately 2 a.m. for reports of windows being shot out with a BB gun. The homeowner told police that two shots had pierced the window of a room in which he and his 2-year-old daughter had been sleeping and that "soda bottle bombs" had also been thrown and exploded on his trailer. He said that the suspects shot at him twice when he went outside to confront them.

During the investigation, police learned that the suspects had also allegedly thrown road flares at the Shear Perfection hair salon, causing the leaves in front of the building to catch fire.

The pair has a pre-trial scheduled for Nov. 27.
