Free giveaway will be held

Friday at First United Methodist

COLUMBIANA - A free giveaway of clothing, housewares, books and miscellaneous items will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church, 210 S. Main St.

Senior Fun Day is Saturday

at the Memorial Building

SALEM - Senior Fun Day 2012, "A Harvest of Fun," will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Memorial Building. Admission is free to seniors 55 and over.

Breakfast will be served at

United Methodist Church

NEW WATERFORD - A pancake breakfast will be served from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at New Waterford United Methodist Church, 46925 S. State St. Flu shots will be administered from 9 to 11 a.m.

Sebos sponsoring the

Banquet in Salem this Monday

SALEM - Bob and Linda Sebo wll sponsor the Banquet in Salem from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Building. C

Harvest Cup will be presented

by Covington Nursing Facility

EAST PALESTINE - Since the Covington polo match was canceled because of rain, Mark Powers and the staff of Covington Skilled Nursing Facility have organized the first Harvest Cup so that the community can enjoy a day of polo while benefiting a worthwhile cause.

The event on Saturday will be held at Powers' farm where the game will be played in the outdoor arena.

Festivities start at 3 p.m. and will feature a riding exhibition by the RQ Stables pony club as well as the polo match. A South American barbecue will follow. Admission is a $5 donation to East Palestine Social Concerns.

All tickets purchased for the Sept. 8 match will be honored. In keeping with the "harvest" theme, non-perishable food items will also be collected for Social Concerns. For more information call 330-692-0851 or 330-692-0062.

Country style breakfast will be

served at the Smith Grange

BELOIT - The public is invited to a country style breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Smith Grange.

Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children. Carryouts are available.

Country Jammin' on the River

will present 'HoBo Sunday'

EAST LIVERPOOL - Country Jammin' on the River will host "HoBo Sunday" from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Broadway Wharf in East Liverpool.

Come dressed as a "HoBo," bring a chair and enjoy the entertainment with soup beans and corn bread.

LISBON - David Anderson High School Class of 1960 will meet for lunch at 1 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Chef's Table in Lisbon.

Salem Hunting Club will host a

basic concealed carry class

SALEM - The Salem Hunting Club will host a "Satisfaction Guaranteed" basic Ohio concealed carry class at 8 a.m. Oct. 21 at 549 Indiana Ave.

Pre-registration is required. Students with any level of experience are encouraged to attend and will be accepted on a first come basis.

Breakfast buffet will be served at the Salem Masonic Lodge

SALEM-A public breakfast buffet will be served from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Oct. 27 at the Salem Masonic Building, 788 E. State St. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children under age 10 and free for children under 2.

The menu offers pancakes, waffles, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, homemade sausage gravy, biscuits, homefries, toast, fruit cocktail, orange juice, coffee and tea.

The building is equipped with a handicapped accessible elevator. Proceeds will be directed to the Salem Masonic Building Fund.

Beloit Friends Church holding

Veterans and Heroes Sunday

BELOIT - Beloit Friends Church at 18042 Fifth St. will celebrate its annual Veterans and Heroes Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 11. This year's guest speaker will be Major Tom Sawyer, USAF-Retired.

Each year Beloit Friends Church takes time to recognize and honor military and community heroes.
