Bob Evans fund raiser

SALEM - Bob Evans restaurant in Salem will hold a community fundraiser for the One Way Kidz Children's Ministry at Crossroads Ministries from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday. Bob Evans will donate 15 percent of sales to help fund a winter Vacation Bible School in March. A flyer, available at Crossroads Ministry, must be presented at time of check out.

Creamed chicken dinner today

SALEM - A creamed chicken over biscuits dinner will be served to the public from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Bunker Hill United Methodist Church, 15069 W. Middletown Road. Cost is $7 per meal which includes mashed potatoes and gravy, roasted carrots, cole slaw and dessert.

Free clothing and housewares

NEW WATERFORD - Free clothing and housewares will be available to the public from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the Lake Mount Church of Christ, 6290 state Route 7, New Waterford. No proof of income is required. Lunch will be available for a donation.

Breakfast at Damascus church

DAMASCUS - An all-you-can-eat breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. Oct. 20 at the Damascus United Methodist Church. Proceeds will go to the youth director's fund. The next breakfast is Nov. 17.

Lisbon CROP Walk Sunday

LISBON - Lisbon CROP Walk kicks off at 1 p.m. Sunday at the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church parking lot, across from village hall.

Bible Holiness Chapel revival

SALEM - Revival services continue at 7:30 p.m. today and Sunday at the Bible Holiness Chapel, 3824 McCracken Road. The speaker is the Rev. Paul Mann.

Lecture on lung disorders

SALEM - Dr. Abdul Basit of Alliance Pulmonary Associates Inc. will present a free lecture following the 11 a.m. church service on Oct. 7 at Faith Fellowship Chapel, 511 E. Pershing St. His topic is titled "COPD and other lung disorders." Dr. Basit is board certified in pulmonology and sleep medicine and has over 14 years experience. Flu shots will be available for $25.

Night of Praise and Worship

LISBON - Artesian Well: Night of Praise and Worship, "The Gathering of The Dangerous," will be presented at 7 p.m. Oct. 26 at Rains Grace Fellowship.

A garage sale/bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 13 at the church, 10755 state Route 45, two miles south of Lisbon.

Missionaries at EP church

EAST PALESTINE - Missionaries Gary and Penney Sidle will be guest speakers at 6 p.m. Oct. 10 at the East Palestine Church of the Nazarene. They are global missionaries for the Church of the Nazarene assigned to Zambia, Africa. In Zambia, Gary is extension education coordinator for the Africa Central Field and Zambia Mission coordinator, where he is involved in church growth and development.

Penney is the Zambia child sponsorship coordinator, teaches extension education classes, and is the Africa Central Field Children's Ministry coordinator.

With them will be Ephraim Mutalange, known in the Southern parts of Africa as "The Son of Africa." He was born in Kalulushi. At a young age he was led to sing gospel music. He sings and performs in English, Bemba, and Swahili.

Revival in Damascus

DAMASCUS - The Damascus United Methodist Church is inviting the community to its upcoming revival to be held Oct. 14-16.

The Rev. John and Filese Hauser are in full-time faith based ministry. They travel full time, year round, in mobile field ministry as they share God's Spoken Word and Song.

Son Grace Music Ministries, of which Rev. John and Filese are CEO and president, is 25 years old. During the past 25 years, The Hausers have traveled back and forth, across the United States as well as overseas and abroad to Europe, Poland, England, Old Mexico, Canada, etc.

Rev. John served as pastor in the United Methodist Church for 16 years before joining Filese on the road/field as fulltime revivalist/evangelist in the year 2000. He has been a certified drug and alcohol counselor, and is a licensed clinical Christian counselor, and is a master degreed physiological counselor.

The Hausers are based out of Oklahoma City, Okla., where they reside when they are not traveling in their gospel coach around the country in ministry or in overseas appointments. They are parents and grandparents.

Services with the Hausers will be held on Sunday at the 10:10 a.m. worship service, and at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings. The church is located at 300 Valley Road. For more information call 330-537-3031 or visit www.dumcohio.org.
