LISBON - Charles L. Bailey, 38, Holiday Street, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to theft in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court Friday. A sentencing hearing for the fifth degree felony was set for Jan. 3, 2013.
Joseph J. Desarro, 19, Susan Drive, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony and was sentenced to four years. According to court documents, Desarro did knowingly possess or use marijuana in the amount of 200 grams at 12:45 a.m. Dec. 16, 2011 on Harvey Avenue in East Liverpool. Two bags of marijuana were also found inside an automobile parked at Maxi's restaurant, with the combined weight at 225.2 grams.
Tarra L. Elliott, 37, North Sumner Street, East Palestine. pleaded guilty to theft, a fourth-degree felony and was sentenced to five years of community control and to make restitution payments in the amount of $9,894.84. According to court documents, Elliott took $9,894.84 from Gorby's Grocery on North Market Street in East Palestine on May 24.
