CALCUTTA - The Beavers are playing their best soccer at the right time of the year.
The Beaver Local girls' soccer team scored two goals in each half en route to a 4-2 victory Monday evening over visiting Struthers.
With the win, the Beavers are now 2-13 on the season.

Beaver Local head coach Liz Connor said her team has played pretty good soccer in the last few games.
"Yeah, we have come together as a team the last few games," she said. "We have tried to keep more possession of the ball."
Beaver Local has now won two-straight games after beginning the season 0-13. Beaver Local recorded a 2-0 victory over local-rival East Liverpool Saturday night at home on Senior Night to record the team's first win of the season.
Hannah Cochran led the way for the Beavers in their win over the Wildcats. Cochran contributed two goals and one assist.
Beckey Stoffer and Brittany Mesler each recorded a goal in the game for Beaver Local. Stoffer also finished with one assist.
Maranda Kiddey made some key saves in goal for the Beavers. Kiddey finished the game with 12 saves.
Connor said her team's victory Saturday night against East Liverpool gave her team a confidence boost.
"With the win Saturday night against East Liverpool, the kids have more confidence," she said. "The kids are playing with a sense of urgency now."
Beaver Local is scheduled to return to the field at 5 p.m. Wednesday against Austintown Fitch. The game against the Falcons is the Beavers final regular season game of the season.
The sectional draw is scheduled for Sunday.
Beaver Local is one of the seven teams that will be competing in the Ohio Division II Eastern District Sectional Tournament is scheduled to be played Oct. 15-20 down at Red Devil Stadium in St. Clairsville.
