MISAWA, JAPAN - Barry Lee Marks, 64, of Misawa Air Force Base, Japan, passed away Sept. 8, 2012. A full military memorial service was held for Barry at the U.S. Air Force Base Chapel in Misawa, Japan.
A native of Salem, Ohio, he was the son of the late Clyde and Mildred Marks. Barry attended Salem and Leetonia schools. He served six years in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. After serving in the armed forces, Barry graduated from San Diego State College, San Diego, Calif. He was Catholic by faith.
Barry was employed by the Cubic Corporation of San Diego, Calif., for 30 years. At the time of his death, Barry was the Asia Regional Manager, overseeing all of the company's interests along the Pacific Rim. During his 30 years with Cubic Corporation, he traveled the world training USAF pilots and air force pilots for many other countries.
Barry is survived by his wife, Yong, of Misawa, Japan; his daughter, Jennifer Boliek of Leesburg, Fla.; his sister, Janine Taylor of Salem, Ohio; his brother, Clyde Marks of Fort Mill, S.C.; four grandchildren, Mikaela, Alexander, Lily and Meghan of Leesburg, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
