Post 76 will host all-you-can eat breakfast

SEBRING -American Legion Post 76 of Sebring will host its monthly all-you-can eat breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday.

Items on the menu include pancakes, french toast, scrambled eggs, gravy and biscuits, toast, ham, link sausage, bacon, coffee, orange and tomato juice.

Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children. Proceeds from this breakfast will be given to the Sebring Historical Society. For more information call 330-938-9082.

Steak fry planned at Sebring Legion Post 76

SEBRING - American Legion Post 76 of Sebring will host its monthly steak fry from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 12. Cost is $13 for strip steak, $14 for ribeye and $15 for porterhouse.

Salad bar and baked potato are included. Fried onions and mushrooms are available for 50 cents. For more information call 330-938-9082.

East Palestine meetings planned Monday

EAST PALESTINE -The Development Committee meeting begins at 6 p.m. Monday, one hour prior to the regular council meeting at the East Palestine Community Center.

Driving school scheduled at Springfield

NEW SPRINGFIELD- AAA Driving School will have class at New Springfield High School beginning Oct. 8, from 3 to 6 p.m. Registration forms are available in the high school office. For more information call 330-277-0052.

Columbiana Senior Citizens will meet

COLUMBIANA - Columbiana Senior Citizens will meet at 10 a.m. Oct. 9 and 23 at the Upper Room. A pizza lunch will be served at the Oct. 9 meeting. Those attending are to bring a sack lunch to the second meeting.

Business start-up workshop is Oct. 11

SALEM - A new business start-up workshop will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce, 713 E. State St.

This session is an overview of issues related to starting and operating a business such as business and financial planning, market demand and financing. SALEM - Goshen Home Extension plans to meet for lunch at 11 a.m. Oct. 12 at the Salem Hills Golf and Country Club.

Columbiana Chamber hosting Showcase

COLUMBIANA - The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce invites residents and business owners to attend its Fall Business Showcase on Oct. 17 at Rance Industries, 1361 Heck Road, Columbiana Industrial Park.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with refreshments and networking, brief presentations by five Columbiana-area businesses, followed by a plant tour of the showcase host, National Heat Exchange.

There is no charge to chamber members and a $5 charge to prospective members. For information contact the chamber at 330-482-3822 or email info@columbianachamber.com. Reservations are not required.

Berlin-Ellsworth Ruritans hosting supper

BERLIN CENTER - A family-style all-you-can eat Swiss steak supper will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 3, sponsored by the Berlin-Ellsworth Ruritan Club, at the Western Reserve High School on state Route 224. Cost is $9.50 in advance ($10 at the door), $5 for ages 4 to 10 and free for 3 and under. Advance tickets are available from any Ruritan member, at Denny's Auto Supply, 6999 S. Pricetown Road, or by calling 330-547-4027.

The meal includes Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, corn, applesauce, roll and dessert. A homemade baking contest will be held prior to the dinner. To participate call Denny Furman at 330-547-4027.

Benefit dinner, Chinese auction planned

CHIPPEWA, Pa. - The employees of Med-Express Urgent Care are holding a spaghetti dinner and Chinese auction fund raiser to benefit two employees, Tim and Ashlee Shirley and their children, Cecelia and Sophia.

The twins were born five months premature. The event will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Nov. 4 at the United Methodist Church, 2545 Darlington Road. Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for ages 4 to 12. Carryouts will be available.

All proceeds will go toward medical expenses for the girls. Donations may be mailed to Debra Lattanzio, 770 Kenmar Drive, East Palestine 44413, before Oct. 21.

Harvest Festival scheduled at EDI-Central

LISBON - The public is invited to the 15th annual Harvest Festival to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at EDI-Central (sheltered workshop), 8330 County Home Road.

In addition to the garage sale and candle sale in the candle building, entertainment will be provided by a Bret Michaels tribute singer.

There will be a ticket auction, bake sale, hog and gas card raffle, etc. Food for lunch or carryout will be available.
