- A resident of the 900 block of Franklin Avenue, called at 6:24 p.m. Friday to report a known female juvenile broke part of his fence, noting it's part of an ongoing problem. The report also referred to an earlier complaint at 3:49 p.m. for a neighbor dispute in the 800 block of Franklin Avenue where a woman reported a juvenile neighbor coming around creating a disturbance. She said it was part of an ongoing problem she wanted stopped. An officer spoke to the juvenile and her mother and the mother said she would take care of the problem.

- A city resident at 6:13 p.m. Friday responded to the police station to report someone threw an object which struck his vehicle in the area of South Lundy Avenue and Columbia Street. He was told his options.

- Police were called to a possible fight at 5:21 p.m. Friday at the rear of the 1100 block of East Third Street, but learned it was just a group of juveniles horsing around in a backyard. There was no fight.

- A woman on Vine Avenue reported at 3:51 p.m. Friday that a known female was harassing her by texting and calling her. An officer spoke with the female about the complaint and she said she would stop.

- A woman in the 1400 block of East Third Street reported at 3:44 p.m. Friday that persons unknown to her drove past her residence and yelled derogatory remarks at her granddaughter. She was told her options.

- A woman in the 800 block of Jennings Avenue reported at 2:11 p.m. Friday that she received several telephone calls from card member services and wanted them to stop calling. The company called while the officer was there and the officer got on the phone. The person at the other end promised he would remove the woman's number from their calling list.

- Peter Gonda, 64, of 565 Franklin Ave., was taken into custody at his residence at 1:40 p.m. Friday on a warrant.

- - A resident of the 100 block of South Howard Avenue, reported at 1:20 p.m. Friday that someone drove over the front yard area of the property, with tracks on the sidewalk showing the vehicle came from the north and was heading south.

- A resident in the 400 block of East State Street reported at 11:36 a.m. Friday that he purchased an item via the Internet for $3,000 from a male in California. He sent $1,500 via money gram to the seller, with the remainder to be sent upon delivery of the item. The item was never received and now the seller's phone numbers have been disconnected.

- A caller at 10:42 a.m. Friday reported a man attempting to cross East State Street and appearing confusing. Police responded but could not find the man.

- Fawzi Rasul, of Super USA in the 1600 block of South Lincoln Avenue, reported at 10:44 a.m. Friday that a woman came to the business and cashed an alleged JP Morgan Chase Bank payroll check from Salem Eye Care Center for $489.21. The check was returned to the business unpaid and was fictitious. An officer spoke to the business manager at the Salem Eye Care Center and she said they do not issue payroll checks. They use a payroll company through a different bank and all is direct deposited. She also noted the phone number on the alleged check was their fax number.
