Leetonia 10, McDonald 0
LEETONIA - Brandon Dattilio did a little bit of everything in Leetonia's 10-0 win Friday over McDonald. Dattilio was on the receiving end of a 45-yard touchdown pass from Trent Ferry. He also picked off a pass to help lead the Bears defense which held McDonald to just 155 total yards. Dattilio also got Leetonia on the board in the first quarter with a 24-yard field goal.
Ferry finished with 90 yards on 11 carries. Zack Van Giesen had 91 yards on 22 carries to help keep the Blue Devils' offense off the field.
Leetonia (4-2, 2-1 ITCL Tier 2) plays at Columbiana next week.
West Branch 35, Minerva 7
MINERVA - West Branch got off to a tough start in non-conference play, but have been perfect since taking on Northeastern Buckeye Conference rivals. The trend continued Friday as the Warriors beat Minerva 35-7.
Brenden Wells, coming off setting the school record for rushing yards a week ago, continued to add to his total with 231 yards on 24 carries and four touchdowns.
Troy James added 76 yards on nine carries and a score.
The West Branch defense limited Minerva to just 199 total yards. Zack Ruggles led the way with a sack and six tackles.
West Branch (3-3, 3-0 NBC) hosts Canton South Friday for homecoming.
Minerva falls to 2-4, 1-2 NBC.
United 42, Lisbon 27
HANOVERTON - United's Mike Martin had 175 yards on 19 carries and three touchdown runs in a 42-27 win over Lisbon Friday. Martin also caught three passes for 53 yards and another score.
Garrett Beech was 8-of-16 for 112 yards and two touchdowns while also racking up 105 yards on 26 carries and two touchdown runs.
Lisbon was led by Brandon Barnes with 187 yards on 26 carries and three touchdown runs. Josh Liberati also went 7-of-19 for 57 yards and threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Shawn McKinnon.
United (4-2, 2-1 ITCL Tier 1) plays at Crestview Friday.
Lisbon (2-4, 1-2 ITCL Tier 1) hosts Springfield.
Crestview 58, Springfield 7
NEW MIDDLETOWN - Crestview's Nick Blower ran for 252 yards on 19 carries with three touchdowns en route to a 58-7 thrashing of Springfield Friday. Crestview totaled 435 yards on the ground. Matt Hardenbrook added a touchdown run and reception. Colin Gilbert was 6-of-10 for 62 yards and two touchdowns.
Springfield's lone score came on a Mike Algower interception return for a touchdown.
Crestview (6-0, 3-0 ITCL Tier 1) hosts United Friday.
