LISBON - Charles V. Carroll, 42, Salem Alliance Road, Salem, pleaded guilty Friday in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to domestic violence. He faces up to 18 months in prison and a $5,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Nov. 15.

Carroll reportedly grabbed his wife by the head, twisting her neck and throwing her to the floor on June 6. Additionally he attempted to push her out the front door and down the steps of their home. Finally, he threatened to kill her, her daughter and the family pet.

Carroll already had a previous domestic violence conviction in May 2005 in Akron Municipal Court.

Dwaylin M. Jenkins, 22, Youngstown, pleaded guilty to burglary. He faces up to a three year prison term and a fine of $10,000. Sentencing is set for Nov. 15.

Court documents state Jenkins on Dec. 17, 2010 hid in the closet of a home belonging to Elton J. Elliott on Franklin Avenue, Salem, until the occupants of the house left for work. Then he forced his way into a padlocked bedroom stealing medication, a digital camera, video recorder, jewelry and cash.
