Grace Church holding trunk sale
COLUMBIANA - Grace Church at 140 S. Main St. will hold a trunk sale in its parking lot from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 6, rain or shine.
Special crusade services scheduled
SALEM - Special crusade services featuring the Rev. John and the Rev. Filese Hauser begin at 7 p.m. Oct. 8-11 at Bethesda Ministries, 12740 W. South Range Road. A love offering will be taken at each service.
The Keeling will perform on Sept. 30
CANFIELD -The Keelings will be in concert at 6 p.m. Sept. 30 at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road.
Now in their 19th year, The Keelings have recorded more than 17 albums with several songs that made it to number one and/or the top 10 position on the radio active airplay weekly top 100 chart.
The group is comprised of Randy Keeling, his sons, Jeff and Doug, his daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Pat Wilaman, and sound technician Ray Young.
The Keelings are best known for their unique harmony, trumpet trios, and Jeff's abilities on the piano. A free will offering will be taken.
Chicken and biscuit dinner will be served
ELLSWORTH - A chicken and biscuit dinner will be served from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Ellsworth Presbyterian Church, 11171 Akron-Canfield Road (Route 224).
Dinner includes chicken and gravy over biscuits, mashed potatoes, vegetable, applesauce, dessert and beverage.

Damascus Friends Run for Hunger, Fun Run
DAMASCUS - The Damascus Friends Church's third annual Run For Hunger 5K and One-Mile Fun Run begins at 9 a.m. Oct. 6.
Same-day registration opens at 7:30 a.m. Cost is $25. Register online at www.dfcnow.com and click the IM ATHLETE link or stop by the church office at 28857 Walnut St.
The Kids Fun Zone is open from 8 to 11 a.m. in the DFC Gym, with inflatables, face painting and popcorn. A one-mile fun run is free for children 10 and under and starts following completion of the 5K. Cost is $10 if a shirt is desired.
Gold sponsors for this event are Damascus Water Conditioning and Plumbing, MAC Trailer, Malone University, and Wally Armour. Josh Booth (DJ Booth, and radio personality from 95.5 The FISH) will be announcing and providing the music.
Rev. Smith will preach at First United Meth.
SALEM - The Rev. Ron Smith will preach at the 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. services on Sunday at the First United Methodist Church. Rev. Smith is a native of Salem and former president of the Wesley Biblical Seminary and One Mission Society International.
He is currently overseeing the work of the Francis Asbury Society in Wilmore, Ky.
The public is invited. Parking is available in the north lot, and the two south lots at 244 S. Broadway Ave. For visitors with handicaps, use the south parking lot close to the elevator.
