Breakfast will be served at Masonic Building
SALEM-Pancakes, waffles and scrambled eggs will be served for breakfast on Saturday at the Masonic Building, 788 E. State St.
The public is invited from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children under 10 and free for children under 2. Other items on the buffet include sausage, bacon, homemade sausage gravy, biscuits, homefries, toast, fruit cocktail, orange juice, coffee and tea.
The building is equipped with a handicapped accessible elevator. Proceeds will be directed to the Salem Masonic Building Fund.
Kids Day is Saturday at Sportsman's Club
LEETONIA - Registration starts at 10 a.m. Saturday and runs continuously throughout the day for the 37th annual Kids Day at the Leetonia Sportsman's Club along East High Street. Activities include shooting, archery, and fishing events for all children ages 6 to 15 years.
Trophies will be awarded to contest winners and raffle prizes will be given away. A wiener roast will also be held. Everything is free of charge. SCC holding swim lesson program
SALEM - Registration is still available for the Salem Community Center's swim lesson program on Saturdays from Oct. 6 through Nov. 24.

Getting Crafty class held at Salem Library
SALEM - Gratitude journals are the featured craft for the Oct. 8 Getting Crafty class for adults which meets at 6:30 p.m. in the Salem Public Library's Quaker Room. Materials will be provided free of cost to create the journals.

CROP Walk will be held Oct. 7
COLUMBIANA - Columbiana's annual CWS CROP Walk kicks off at 2 p.m. Oct. 7 at the First Presbyterian Church, 28 E. Park Ave. Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. Walker envelopes and promotional materials will be available at 2 p.m. Sept. 23 at Catalpa Grove Farm, 41473 state Route 14.

New Business Start-Up session offered
SALEM - Anyone interested in a new career or considering owning or starting a business is invited to the New Business Start-Up session, sponsored by the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce, to be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 11 at the chamber office on East State Street.
The New Business Start-Up session is an overview of issues related to starting and operating a business and will be presented by the Small Business Development Center. Topics such as business and financial planning, market demand and financing will be covered. Sessions are free, but there is a materials fee of $20. Seating is limited. Winona Ruritans holding breakfast
WINONA - The Winona Ruritan Club's all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast will be served from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 13 at Willow Grove Grange.
Cost is $7 for adults and $4.50 for children ages 4 to 12. Assistance will be provided by members of the United 4-Hers 4-H Club and the Lone Ranger 4-H Club.
Dog Pound hosting spay/neuter clinic
LISBON - The RASCAL Unit, a mobile low cost spay/neuter clinic, will be hosted by the Columbiana County Dog Pound, 8455 County Home Road, on Oct. 13 and 14. Reservations and payment are required in advance as space is limited. Discounts may be available, upon request, for qualified low income residents.
