Columbiana Girl Scout Troop spruces up Joshua Dixon Elementary

September 16, 2012
Salem News

Daisy Girl Scout Troop #80777 with nine girls from Columbiana planted Day Lilies at Joshua Dixon Elementary School prior to the start of school. The wall is in the front of the school and the flowers can be seen from the main entrance. Joshua Dixon Principal Kim Sharshan donated the day lilies for the girls to plant. Due to the dry weather Sharshan assured the girls that she would "water them daily when it did not rain." Girls going into first grade this fall interested in Girl Scouts may contact Troop Leader Crystal Boggs to sign-up at 330-482-9105. They will soon be participating in the fall product sales fund raiser and in December start selling Girl Scout cookies. Pictured are, from left, Troop Co-Leader Kathy Kaszowski, Chloe Gill, Mia Surgenivic, Rebekah Clark, Katrina Kaszowski, Elizabeth Siembida, Alaina Johnston, Abbie Passmore, Airianna Scullion and Boggs.
