Edison beats Steubenville in 3

RICHMOND - The Wildcats swept Big Red.

The Edison volleyball team earned a 25-15, 25-17, 25-20, victory Tuesday over rival Big Red at home.

Individually for the Wildcats, Katelyn Pollock collected five points, two aces, 13 kills, one dig and two blocks, Hannah Johns scored 13 points to go along with one ace, four kills and two digs and Caitlin Brenstuhl tallied 11 points, 25 assists and three digs.

Also, Maddie Williamson added six points, one block and one kill, Cassady Jarvis recorded two blocks, two digs and six kills and Alexis Gill ended up with two points, four kills and two digs.

Finally, Kylie Smith contributed four points and three digs, and Kalee Neal finished with one dig.

For Big Red, Annie Nehrbas contributed four kills and two blocks, Taylor Young tallied four points, seven kills, seven assists and six digs and Abby Taylor recorded three points, five kills and nine assists.

Also, Brittany Bodo delivered two kills, two assists and three digs, Mytia Barker produced nine points and three digs and Carmie Biasi ended up with two points and seven digs.

Monday, Oak Glen defeated Edison, 25-22, 23-25, 26-24, 25-12.

For the Wildcats, Katie Davdison delivered 12 points, two aces, three kills, three blocks and three digs, Pollock produced nine points. eight kills, six blocks and two digs and Brenstuhl collected six points, one kill, two blocks and two digs.

Also, Jarvis contributed four kills and 10 blocks, Smith tallied three digs and four points and Gill chipped in with four blocks and one kill.

Finally, Johns ended up with three points and three kills, Williamson finished with two digs and Victoria Freeland added one dig.

Indians split with Eagles

SALINEVILLE - The Southern Local and United Middle School volleyball teams split Wednesday at Southern.

The Indians won the 7th grade match, 25-12, 25-20, while the Golden Eagles won the 8th grade match, 25-15, 26-24.

For the the Indians in the 7th grade match, Anna Sevek scored nine points to lead the while, while Lizzie Willis and Allison Forbes each scored seven.

Hannah Mix scored four points to lead the way for the Golden Eagles.

In the 8th grade match, Siera Boyle and Brittany Clark each tallied seven points to lead the way for Southern. Alexis Gross scored five points.

Taylor Miller and Alaina Davidson each delivered eight points to lead the way for United. Madison Smith tallied seven points.

Southern plays today at Heartland Christian.

Blue Devils down Trojans

SEBRING - The Lisbn 8th grad volleyball team earned a 25-15, 23-25, 25-16, victory Wednesday at Sebring.

Devyn Flory finished with eight points to lead the way for the Blue Devils.

Mady Kreitzer recorded seven points to lead the way for the Trojans.
