3-D Archery shoots to be held on Sundays

NEW MANCHESTER - The Chester/Newell Sportsman Club will be holding 3-D archery shoots every Sunday during September. Registration will be from 7:30 a.m. to noon. The cost is $10 for adults and $8 for youth. There will be 30 3-D targets featuring McKenzie XT's. The club is located on Gas Valley Road behind the Green Valley Dairy. Use Green Valley Dairy Drive and continue past the farm to the clubhouse. For information, call 304-479-3456.

Calcutta Lions Club raffling Steelers package

CALCUTTA - The Calcutta Lions Club is offering a chance to win a Steelers package for the Oct. 28 game versus the Washington Redskins. The package includes:?two game tickets, $100 cash, $100 gas card and two Steelers jerseys. Raffle tickets are $5 and are available from any Lions Club member or at the following locations:?Hoge's Restaurant, Four Seasons Mini Mart, J Sabatini Shoes, Calcutta Lock Specialties, Stitch-a-Long Quilt Shop. Drawing will be held Oct. 9.

EL YMCA fall sports league registration

EAST LIVERPOOL - Registration for the East Liverpool YMCA fall sports leagues is now open. Deadline is today. Forms can be picked up at both the EL and Calcutta YMCA locations. For more information, call 330-385-0663.

BTC Fall Junior team tennis league forming

BOARDMAN - The 11th Annual BTC Fall Junior Team Tennis League is now taking entries. Play is at the Boardman Tennis Center on Sundays beginning Oct. 7. Tier 1 (9th grade and over) and Tier 2 (8th grade and under) play a nine-match schedule and ends Dec. 16. Players are put on teams of six or eight players. Each person plays roughly 2 1/2 sets of singles and doubles against players of similar ability in any given match. There are two bye weeks, and the league is off Thanksgiving weekend. Girls who will still be playing Ohio high school tennis may request an opening week bye. There are different entry fees depending on whether a person is a club member, non member or a non member who takes lessons/clinics there. There is a "top player" discount for players who have a USTA top 10 ranking or high school players who were No. 1 or No. 2 on their team. The entry deadline is Sept. 19 or when 128 players have returned forms with payment. Forms can be picked up and turned in at the Boardman Tennis Center located at 1223 W.Western-Reserve Road in Boardman, or can be faxed. Super scramble golf outing being held

EAST LIVERPOOL A super scramble golf outing will be held Sept. 22 at Turkana Golf Course. Play will be from noon until 8 p.m. Players will play as many holes as they can get in. The cost is $50 per person, or $200 for a four-person team. Players can use any score from any round of 18 holes of golf for their total score. Call 330-382-1187 for earlier tee times. All proceeds will benefit the Beaver Local junior class.

BL Hall of Fame banquet rescheduled

CALCUTTA - The Beaver Local Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Banquet has been rescheduled to Oct. 20. Tickets on sale at the Beaver Local administration offices, Campbell Signs & Apparel or call Janet at 330-386-3706.

Oak Glen cheerleaders selling merchandise

NEW MANCHESTER - The Oak Glen cheerleaders are selling 48x60 woven blankets. The blankets are blue with yellow paw prints and say Oak Glen Golden Bears. Blankets are $35 each. They are also selling 28oz. clear drink tumblers with blue handles and Oak Glen Golden Bears printed in yellow. Tumblers are $10. Both items will be available before every home game.

BL cheerleaders selling football T-shirts

CALCUTTA - The Beaver Local High School cheerleaders are selling football T-shirts for $15. The front of the T-shirt has a Beaver Local helmet and 2012, and the back has the last verse of the Alma Mater. They are red short sleeved in adult sizes S to 2XL. Beaver Local 3x5 flags now on sale

CALCUTTA Beaver Local is selling 3'x5' Beaver Local flags. Flags have the interlocking BL with either a white or red background. The cost is $20 per flags and flags can be purchased at the Beaver Local Administration building from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday or at the St. Clair Township Chamber of Commerce office.

Southern Local selling money club tickets

SALINEVILLE - The Southern Local Athletic Boosters are still selling money club tickets. Money will be given away each month. The tickets cost $40 for the year, and the drawings began in August. To purchace a ticket contact any athletic booster or call 330-853-1869 for information.
