LEETONIA - Leetonia ran all over Mathews to the tune of 386 rushing yards and a 42-0 victory.

Zack Van Giesen had 155 yards on 19 carries and two touchdown runs.

Bradon Dattilio had 56 yards on five carries and a touchdown run. Dattilio also caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from Trent Ferry. Ferry added an 82-yard touchdown run, and Bryce Turney had a 63-yard touchdown run.

The Bears (2-1) being conference play next week at Lowellville.

United 32, Rootstown 0

ROOTSTOWN - United cruised to its second-straight victory - a 32-0 thrashing of Rootstown Friday on the road.

Leading the Eagles were Garrett Beech and Mike Martin. Beech tallied 202 yards on 27 carries while Martin had 191 yards on 25 carries. Martin scored three times, Beech twice.

United held Rootstown to just 143 total yards.

United (2-1) begins league play Friday at Springfield.

Streetsboro 37, West Branch 35

BELOIT - Streetsboro held off a late West Branch rally for a 37-35 win.

The Warriors were led by Logan Nagy who had 106 yards on 21 carries and two touchdowns. Troy James added 94 yards on 24 carries and two touchdowns. James was also 10-of-15 for 172 yards and threw a 28-yard TD pass to Jeff Vizzuso.

Kip DeShields caught five passes for 101 yards.

For Streetsboro, Dorian Williams was a one-man wrecking crew tallying up 290 yards on 26 carries with four touchdowns.

West Branch (0-3) begins league play hosting Alliance for their Hall of Fame game.
