New Silver Eagles Band
will perform at Street Fair
COLUMBIANA - The New Silver Eagle Band will perform from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday during the Columbiana Street Fair.
Members of the band are Joe Minor, David Wilson, Monte Sutton, Sara Saverko, Jeff Tobor and Russ Buchanon.
The band will also be performing at Antiques in the Woods on Saturday and Sunday, starting at 11 a.m. and performing every other hour until 4 p.m.

SALEM - The Salem High School Class of 1947 will meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. Sept. 20 at the Salem Hills Golf and Country Club. All members and guests are welcome.
Lord of the Range II planned
at the Salem Hunting Club
SALEM - Camaraderie and competition will bring sportsmen and women together on Sept. 22 at the Salem Hunting Club. Lord of the Range II, a follow up to last year's inaugural event, is raising money for local conservation efforts.
Participants will engage in various shooting disciplines ranging from rifles and pistols to compound bows and slingshots, all supplied by the club and event sponsors. Custom trophies and prize money will be awarded.

2012 Monster Dash will be
held at United Local HS
HANOVERTON -The 2012 Monster Dash, the ultimate Halloween race (or walk), is a high intensity challenge for anyone seeking fun and competition in support of a worthy local cause.
Participants are asked to dress up in their favorite costume or as part of a team of ghouls, witches, or gremlins on Oct. 20 to United Local High School. Register in person at 3 p.m. on the day of the race or reserve a T-shirt and register online by Oct. 6 at www.the-monster-dash.com.
Two waves are scheduled, at 4 and 5 p.m., plus a mini monster dash at 6 p.m. for children under 12. Cost is $30 per person, $25 per person in teams of four, and $15 for Mini-Monsters). Awards will go to the top finishers in each age bracket and also prizes for best costume.

The Monster Dash is sponsored by United Community Scholarship Foundation. Established on Feb. 12, 1985, the foundation awarded a scholarship to Timothy Winn. In 1986, five graduating students received scholarships. In 1989, the number of recipients had grown to eight. Today, approximately $10,000 in scholarships are awarded each year.

fund-raising raffle winners
LISBON -The Christian House Domestic Violence Program is announcing the winners in its recent fund-raising raffle. Winner of the Ribbon of Hope Quilt is Peggy Callen of Youngstown. Winner of the Victorian Doll House is Mellie Espino of Youngstown.
The donated quilt was pieced by Mary Miller and quilted by Pat Firestone of Salem. The doll house was made and donated by Patricia Durham.
The Christina House shelter and auxiliary services are offered to victims of domestic violence and their children to help victims lead safe, satisfying lives free from abuse. High St. Special guest speaker will be Kelly Gray from the Ohio Attorney General's Office. Her topic will be on effective advocacy for victims. The breakfast is co-sponsored by Ozer Ministries.
SALEM - The Salem Community Center is offering a Lifeguard Training Course from Nov. 5-16. Classes will run weeknights from 5 to 8 p.m. Cost is $220 for members and $260 for non-members. Upon completion participants will receive Lifeguard Training, First Aid, Professional Rescuer CPR and AED Essentials certifications. To register call 330-332-5885.
