SALEM - David C. Reinehr, 72, of Salem, died at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, at the Cleveland Clinic.
He was born Feb. 2, 1940, in Salem, the son of the late Henry and Ethel (Lewis) Reinehr.
Mr. Reinehr was a 1958 graduate of Columbiana High School and attended Youngstown State University. He was an insurance claim adjuster for Independent Insurance in Boardman and had previously served as service manager for Columbiana Buick Olds for several years.
David was a member, past president and board member of the Tri State Antique Automobile Club. He loved owning, repairing, and shining antique cars. He was also a member of the 19th Ohio Civil War Reenactment Group, rode motorcycles and enjoyed bowling. David served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Ohio National Guard in Alliance.
His wife of 50 years (in November), Carol (Davis) Reinehr, whom he married Nov. 17, 1962, survives him along with a son, Craig C. Reinehr of Louisville, Kentucky; a daughter, Annette (Tim) Brown of Johnstown, Pa.; and a brother, James (Jean) Reinehr of Prescott, Ariz.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home.
