Collins leads Bears past?Wildcats

NEW MANCHESTER - Megan Collins recorded a hat trick and added an assist leading the Oak Glen girls soccer team to a 4-3 win Tuesday over visiting Edison.

The victory was the Golden Bears' first at their new home field. Oak Glen is now 3-1 on the season.

Also for Oak Glen, Alex Burch chipped in with a goal and an assist, and Cassandra Deremer recorded an assist.

Casey Highfield made four saves in goal for the Golden Bears.

Allie Byrley, Meghan Scott and Bethanie Bube all scored goals for the Wildcats (0-2).

Jen Sheets made 14 saves for Edison.

Oak Glen's next game is at 7 p.m. Thursday at Brooke. Edison's next game is at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at home against Catholic Central.
