LISBON - In Columbiana County Municipal Court on Tuesday, a Sept. 4 preliminary hearing was set for Chad E. Kellogg, 35, Anderson Avenue, Wellsville, charged with domestic violence. Bond was set at $25,000. According to court documents, Kellogg allegedly attempted to choke his wife and told her he was going to kill her on Aug. 15. Kellogg has a previous domestic violence conviction in 2009 in East Liverpool Municipal Court.

- Justin K. Smotherman, 26, West Clark Street, East Palestine, was fined $695, sentenced to three days in jail and three in school and had his license suspended for 180 days for OVI first offense and speeding.

- Autumn Blakeman, 22, Park Court, Columbiana, was fined $675, had her license suspended for 180 days and was sentenced to 20 days in jail for OVI first offense.

- Christine M. Connolly, 45, Youngstown, was fined $150 for unsafe vehicle amended from speeding.

- David R. Wales, 23, Greentree Place, Lisbon, was fined $100 and required 50 hours community service for driving under suspension and speeding.

- A Sept. 6 pretrial was set for Christopher D. Craft, 19, Maple Avenue, Wellsville, charged with assault after allegedly assaulting a 17-year-old Wellsville boy by choking him and slamming him to the ground on 14th Street. The assault is alleged to have occurred while the boy was walking home on Aug. 21.

- A Sept. 10 pretrial was set for Roy A. Jackson, 62, Sharp Street, Salem, charged with domestic violence for reportedly punching his live-in girlfriend in the face and striking her in the head with a ball bat on Saturday. She was taken to Salem Community Hospital for her injuries.

- A Sept. 27 pretrial was set for Lucas M. Andric, 30, Wooster Street, East Liverpool, charged with OVI first offense and driving under a 12-point suspension.

- A Sept. 27 pretrial was set for Eric C. Travis, 30, Crestview Road, Leetonia, cited with OVI second offense, failure to control and no helmet following a crash on his motorcycle at 3 a.m. Sunday in Unity Township which led to him being transported by New Waterford EMS to St. Elizabeth's Hospital with minor injuries.

- An Oct. 1 pretrial was set for Darby S. McCoy, 42, Cherry Valley Drive, Leetonia, charged with OVI second offense and a stop sign violation.

- An Oct. 1 pretrial was set for Stephen J. Montella, 51, Campbell, cited with speeding.

- An Oct. 2 pretrial was set for Ashley M. Irvin, 22, East Martin Street, East Palestine, cited with disorderly conduct.

- An Oct. 2 pretrial was set for James D. Coffman, 41, Miller Road, Leetonia, charged with driving under FRA suspension.

- An Oct. 16 pretrial was set for Kirsten R. Eberhardt, 19, Columbia Street, Leetonia, charged with OVI underage first offense, lane violation, drug paraphernalia and possession of more than 100 grams of marijuana.
