Outdoor worship service set Sunday

COLUMBIANA- Grace Church of Columbiana, 140 S. Main St., will be hosting an outdoor worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday. "On the Green at Grace" will be held on the church lawn. Bring a lawn chair. A continental breakfast will be served beginning at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome. The Theme for the service will be "What the Beatitudes and Golf Teach Us About Life." Children's Choir concert Sept. 2

NEW WATERFORD- The Children of the World International Children's Choir will be in concert at 7 p.m. Sept. 2 at Abundant Life Fellowship, 46469 state Route 46. The concert is part of the group's 2012-2013 Rescue Tour, which is designed to call attention to the impact of poverty, malnutrition and dirty water on millions of children around the globe. The choir, made up of disadvantaged and orphaned children from several countries, ministers in music and dance. During their visit, they will stay along with traveling chaperones, in homes of host families from the church. The concert is free and open to the public. The choir is an arm of World Help, a faith-based humanitarian organization that serves the physical and spiritual needs of people living in impoverished nations.

Family carnival

at Faith Chapel

SALEM- Faith Chapel Fellowship, 511 E. Pershing St., will host its first family carnival from noon to 2 p.m. Sept. 8 in the municipal parking lot. The free event will include food and drinks, games, Identi-kits, pony rides, a reptile display, face painting, prizes and display of a police cruiser and a fire truck.

Joy Club to host God's Quad

SALEM- The Joy Club of the First Christian Church, 1151 E. Sixth St., will host a free concert featuring the God's Quad Quartet at 2 p.m. Sept. 9 in the Worship Center.

Bontrager Family Singers to perform

NORTH LIMA- The Bontrager Family Singers will perform at 7 p.m. Sept. 21 at the North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive. The family presents a gospel bluegrass style of music and performs on a variety of insruments. There is no ticketing for the event but an offering will be collected.
