SALEM - Charles Timothy "Tim" Huffer, 67, of Salem, died at 11:03 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born Aug. 25, 1944 in Salem, the son of the late Charles and Lucille (Dole) Huffer.
Tim was a 1963 graduate of Salem High School. He was a lifetime member, past elder, deacon, and Sunday School teacher of the Faithful Friends Sunday School Class of the First Christian Church in Salem. He was also a youth leader.
Before his retirement in 2010, he was employed at Country Saw Knife as a salesman for 23 years and had previously worked for American General Life Insurance for 10 years.
His wife, Linda (Crawford) Shasteen Huffer, whom he married April 14, 1970, survives him along with two sons, Richard Shasteen of Salem and Ross (Teresa) Shasteen of Lisbon; four daughters, Ruth Shasteen of Pelham, N.C., Amy Moscato of New York, Beki (Jimmy) Pridemore of Salem and Patty (John) Phillips of Winona; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
His parents; a brother, Robert W. Huffer; and a stillborn son, Daniel Timothy Huffer preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 27, 2012 at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Leonard Moore officiating. Calling hours will be held from 1:30 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Hope Cemetery.
