SALEM- Isabelle M. (Fink) Carroll, 91, of Salem, died at 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday at the Sterling House of Salem. She was born June 17, 1921, in Salem, a daughter of the late Frank D. and Rose Erma (Englert) Fink.
Mrs. Carroll was a 1939 graduate of Salem High School and was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church.
She had owned and operated her own beauty shop in Chardon from 1940 to 1950. She and her late husband, Kenneth A. Carroll, were co-owners of Alpine Valley Ski Area in Fowler Mills and Camp Kenisee in Jefferson, Ohio. After moving back to Salem in 1985, she bought, refinished and sold antiques for the past 20 years.
Survivors include a sister, Agnes (Henry) Roelen of Salem; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Kenneth A. Carroll, whom she married Oct. 31, 1941, preceded her in death along with two sons, John H. and James A. Carroll; a grandson, Stephen Carroll; and a sister, Margaret Walker.
A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Robert Edwards officiating. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.
