LISBON - In Columbiana County Municipal Court on Wednesday ,Andrew F. Burtyk, 28, Lowellville, was fined $150 and sentenced to three days in jail for assault and menacing. A restitution hearing is set for Oct. 18. Court documents state Burtyk threatened to kill Nicholas Patrone after grabbing him by the neck, choking him and slamming him into a booth at the Rockin' Horse Saloon last December.

Kevin D. Taylor, 27, Maple Street, Washingtonville, was fined $100 and required 40 hours community service for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for grabbing his wife's wrist, twisting it and pushing her.

Criminal mischief and criminal trespassing charges against William E. Jones, 22, West Fifth Street, Salem, were dismissed due to the failure to locate the witness. Court documents alleged Jones went into a home on Miller Road uninvited on May 5 and then went out into the driveway damaging a vehicle, including taking the sparkplug wire from the engine and stealing other property from inside the vehicle.
