Potters win tri-match

EAST LIVERPOOL - The Potters' good start continues.

Blake Prince and Isaac Davidson earned co-medalist honors to lead the East Liverpool golf team to a tri-match victory against Clay-Battelle and Conotton Valley Wednesday at Turkana Golf Course. The Potters finished with 146, the Cee-Bees finished with 194 and the Rockets finished with 210.

Individually for East Liverpool, Prince and Davidson each shot 35, and Joey Cilone and Alex Watson each shot 38.

Tyler Owens led the way for Clay-Battelle. Owens shot 39.

Tyler Yosick led the way for Conotton Valley with a 42.

East Liverpool's next match is scheduled for Friday against Youngstown Ursuline at Stambaugh Golf Course.

Canfield 169, Beaver Local 197

CANFIELD - Dom Carano earned medalist honors with a 37 to lead the Canfield golf team to a 169-197 victory over Beaver Local Wednesday at Tippecanoe Country Club.

Hayden Moore led the way for the Beavers with a 43. Also for Beaver Local, Duncan Hildebrand delivered a 50, Landon Palma added a 51 and Quinton Carr recorded a 54.

Beaver Local's next match is Friday at Beaver Creek Meadows against Austintown Fitch.

Catholic Central 154, Weir 197, Oak Glen 207

STEUBENVILLE - The Crusaders ran away with the victory.

The Catholic Central golf team defeated Weir and Oak Glen in a tri-match Wednesday at the Steubenville Country Club. The Crusaders finished with 154, the Red Riders finished with 197 and the Golden Bears finished with 207.

Matt McLaughlin led the way or Oak Glen with a 48. Also for the Golden Bears, Taylor Kincaid delivered a 49, Hayley Spurlock shot 53 and Jacob Stipec contributed a 57.

Zach Midcap led the way for the Red Riders with a 44.

Oak Glen plays again today at Williams Country Club against Weir and Toronto.

Mineral Ridge 180, East Palestine 183

LAKE MILTON - East Palestine's DJ Bandy earned co-medalist honors, but it was not enough to secure a victory for the Bulldogs.

Mineral Ridge's Brandon Bukofchan and Bandy each shot 43, and the Rams edged the Bulldogs, 180-183, Wednesday at Old Dutch Mill Golf course.

For East Palestine (2-1), Andy Ellis and Alec Dumbauld each delivered a 46, and Phil Gerner recorded a 48.

For Mineral Ridge (1-0), Pierce Rassega shot 44, Josh Durg recorded a 45 and Collin Cameron contributed a 45.

East Palestine's next match is today against South Range at East Palestine Country Club.
