ALLIANCE - Dora C. Gagnon, 92, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem.
Mrs. Gagnon was born Sept. 24, 1919, in Ragate, Vt., a daughter of Harry and Lydia (Heath) Chamberlain.
Dora was a painter for the former Cherry Hill Furniture Company in Columbiana for several years. She was also a housewife and member and served as president for the New Waterford-Clipper Aerie #2415 Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.
Her husband, Ralph L. Gagnon, whom she married Nov. 14, 1935, died Sept. 1, 1967.
She is survived by four children, Theodore (Nancy) Gagnon of St. Port Lucia, Fla., Rolland (Althea) Gagnon of Falls Church, Va., Loretta (Bill) Wilson of Alliance and Janet (Gary) Crawford of Concord, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three children, Henry, Marie and Donald Gagnon; two sisters; and six brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home in Columbiana with the Rev. Gary Rinker officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
