Online poll asks which football team is best
An online poll is now available at www.reviewonline.com asking which area high school football team you think will be the best this season. The poll will be open until Aug. 12 and the results will be featured in The Review's annual High School Football Preview edition which hits stands on Aug. 23. The preview, which for the first time will have three different covers, will also contain other player polls as well as all the information you'll need to get ready for the 2012 season.
The Review needs your fall sports schedules
The Review is asking area coaches and athletic directors to send us your fall sports schedules. They can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or faxed to 330-385-8142.
Football and cheerleading meeting today
WELLSVILLE - Any Daw Middle School 7th or 8th grader interested in trying out for cheerleading for football must attend a mandatory meeting at 11 a.m. today at the football stadium. Those interested must bring an adult with them to the meeting.
Bowling league meeting to be held

3-D Archery shoots to be held
NEW MANCHESTER - The Chester/Newell Sportsman Club will be holding 3-D archery shoots every Sunday during August and September. Registration will be from 7:30 a.m. to noon. The cost is $10 for adults and $8 for youth. There will be 30 3-D targets featuring McKenzie XT's. The club is located on Gas Valley Road behind the Green Valley Dairy. Volleyball tryouts to be held Monday
NEW MANCHESTER - Oak Glen Middle School will hold volleyball tryouts from 9-11 a.m. Monday. Participants need to have a completed physical, and 7th graders need proof of shots being up to date.

EAST LIVERPOOL - The East Liverpool state mandatory meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the high school auditorium. All high school athletes and parents of fall sports athletes are to attend.
Touchdown club asking for donations
WELLSVILLE - The Wellsville Touchdown Club is asking those attending the football team's two home scrimmages to bring a non-perishable food item, which will be donated to a local organization to aid those in need. The Tigers' scrimmages are 10 a.m. today against Bridgeport and Steubenville Catholic Central and at 7 p.m. Thursday against Crestview. Both scrimmages will take place at Nicholson Stadium.
