SALEM- Mildred M. (Dimko) Himmelspach, 90, of Salem died Sunday morning Aug. 5, 2012, at the Salem Community Hospital. She was born July 13, 1922, in Petersburg, Ohio, the daughter of the late David and Lola (Wagner) White.
Mrs. Himmelspach was employed by the Lyle Printing Company and a mailer for the Farm and Dairy Paper for 10 years, retiring in 1977. She attended Uniontown High School in Uniontown, was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church and the Gold Star Auxiliary of Salem V.F.W. Post 892.
Her husband, Francis A. Himmelspach, whom she married Nov. 5, 1976, preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 2003.
Survivors include a son, Stephen R. (Jo) Dimko of Salem; four sisters, Jean Howell of Germano, Ohio, Faye McAfee of Hopedale, Ohio, Frances Thompson of Scio, Ohio and JoAnn (Edward) McAfee of Jewett, Ohio; a brother, Donald White of Hopedale, Ohio; three granddaughters, Rhonda (Jeff) Pezzano of Temperance, Mich., Shelli (Russ) Davidson of Mineral Ridge, Ohio, and Jodi (Tim) Jackson of Lisbon; a grandson, Christopher (Christine) Brady of Salem; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Mrs. Himmelspach was preceded in death by her first husband, Stephen J. Dimko, on Dec. 15, 1956; a sister, Dorothy Lenkey; and a brother, Mervin White.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Saint Paul Catholic Church with Father Robert Edwards officiating. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
