LISBON - Judd W. Kemats, 50, of Black Road, died unexpectedly at 11:08 a.m. Wednesday at the Salem Community Hospital following a recent illness.
Mr. Kemats was born Dec. 1, 1961 in Salem, a son of the late Elsie (Donnalley) Kemats and John M. Kemats Sr. of Lisbon.
He was a 1980 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School. He and earned a B.S. degree in Geology from Mount Union College in 1984. Mr. Kemats owned and operated the Polaris Earth Management Company in Lisbon.
In addition to his father, Judd is survived by his wife, Melissa "Missy" (Dixon) Kemats, whom he married Oct. 12, 1985; daughter, Kayla Kemats of Lisbon; son, Kyle Kemats of Lisbon; brothers, John (Joanie) Kemats Jr. and Terry (Kathy) Kemats, both of Lisbon.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church, 111 East Chestnut St., with the Rev. Mark R. Wilds officiating. Burial will follow in the Lisbon Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Saturday.
