NORTH BENTON - Earl L. Langties, 86, of North Benton died Saturday.
Born in Barrington, Ill. on Dec. 21, 1925, he was the son of the late Gus and Pauline (Frendesen) Langties. The family moved to Ohio when Earl was young.
He was a farmer all of his life.
Survivors include his children, Nancy Barnett, Peggy Davis, Lee Langties, Paula Ruggles, Kristina Teets, Joyce Langties and Betty Fiedler; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death on March 3, 2008 by his loving wife of 59 years, Betty Carol (Schroeder) Langties, whom he married Sept. 19, 1948; and by a son, Tim.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Kimball officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the family present from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
